2017世大運組織委員會22號上午召開會議，世大運主席、台北市長柯文哲宣布，2017世大運開閉幕不在大巨蛋舉辦，更改地點為台北田徑場，將向國際大學運動總會（FISU）提報變更。體育局表示，目前開閉幕儀式選擇在台北田徑場舉辦，棒球賽事則在台北天母棒球場、新北新莊棒球場及桃園青埔棒球場舉行。
